Security, data handling and verification integrity.
This page is maintained by SOFTRE to describe how the platform protects information and how the integrity of the verification process is preserved. It is not an independent certification.
Platform security
The SOFTRE platform runs on managed cloud infrastructure with encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls and audit logging. Authentication uses hashed credentials and short-lived sessions.
Data handling
We collect only information required to verify a business and operate the platform. Access is restricted to authorised personnel on a least-privilege basis. Retention is scoped to the purpose of processing and legal obligations.
Verification integrity
Every verified item on a Business Proof Profile records what was reviewed, when it was reviewed and the evidence source. Verification status is scoped to the point in time of review — profiles do not imply future guarantees.
Corrections & disputes
Businesses and third parties can request corrections or raise disputes about verified information. The scope of what SOFTRE can review and act on is documented in the dispute policy.

Shared responsibility: platform-level controls are operated by SOFTRE. The accuracy of submitted business information is the responsibility of the account owner. Verification confirms specific information at a point in time and does not guarantee future conduct.
