The terms that govern your use of SOFTRE, including the SOFTRE ShieldMark badge.
Service description
SOFTRE provides informational business verification, domain verification, documentation review and due-diligence readiness tools, including the SOFTRE ShieldMark badge and the SOFTRE Business Proof Passport. SOFTRE outputs are intended for decision support only.
ShieldMark badge terms
The ShieldMark badge may be displayed only by a business that has completed the applicable SOFTRE verification steps for the stated domain. Use of the badge is subject to the ShieldMark badge policy, which forms part of these terms. Misuse of the badge may result in suspension or removal.
Domain verification terms
Domain verification is carried out using methods including DNS TXT records, HTML file uploads, meta tags and authorised domain email. By submitting a domain for verification, the user confirms they are authorised to control or use that domain on behalf of the business.
User responsibilities
Users are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and lawfulness of information they submit or authorise. Users represent that they are authorised to submit such information on behalf of the relevant business and to display the issued badge on the verified domain.

No financial advice
SOFTRE does not provide financial advice.
No investment advice
SOFTRE does not provide investment advice and does not make investment recommendations.
No credit advice
SOFTRE does not provide credit advice, does not determine creditworthiness, and does not act as a credit bureau, credit rating agency or lender.
No guarantee
SOFTRE does not guarantee the accuracy of third-party data and does not guarantee outcomes, solvency, compliance, performance or future business results. ShieldMark badges and ShieldScore indicators are informational only.
Badge suspension
SOFTRE may suspend or remove a ShieldMark badge or verification page where information is outdated, inaccurate, incomplete or disputed, where domain ownership changes, where the badge is misused, where payment is not completed, or where legal or compliance concerns arise.
Correction requests
Information in a SOFTRE profile or ShieldMark verification page may be reviewed via the correction request process. Submitting a request does not guarantee a particular outcome.
Payments and renewal
Paid ShieldMark tiers are issued on an annual basis unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed through SOFTRE's payment partner. A badge may be suspended where the applicable annual fee is not paid. Renewal terms are notified to the authorised representative on file ahead of expiry.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SOFTRE is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill arising from use of the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
